Matt has worked with a dizzying roster of jazz talent, artists such: Nigel Price, Simon Spillet, Hugh Pascal, Simon King, Julian Siegel, Dennis Rollins, Helen Gayle, Fino Lopes, Tom Hill, Neil Yates, Dierdre Cartwright, Alan Barnes, Tobie Carpenter, Simon Paterson, Chris Gumbley, Fred Baker, Jamie Sykes, Ben Martin, Tina May, Wayne Matthews, Dave O’Higgins, Bryan Corbett, Mike Gibbs, B.D. Lenz, Andrew Wood, Martyn Spencer, Nick Svarc, Scott Devine, Sam Mayne, Percy Purseglove, Sam Dunn, Marcus Joseph, Louise Gibbs, Nadim Teimoori, Xhosa Cole, Chris Bowden and many others.
Matt has played many notable festivals and clubs including, London Jazz Festival, Mostly Jazz Festival, Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Swanage Jazz Festival, Manchester Jazz Festival, Breacon Jazz Festival, 606 Club Chelsea, Strongarm Rooms Shoreditch, 28-50 By Night Bond Street, The Salisbury Harringay, Matt and Phreds Manchester, The Les Carr Sheffield and countless regional jazz clubs and societies across the U.K.
Matt is an alumnus of Birmingham Conservatoire Jazz Course, a teacher at both University of Nottingham and Nottingham Trent University, he also runs jazz workshops for Derby Jazz an Arts Council National Portfolio Organisation.
